Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] Phone interface Daniel A. Dubay Mon, 1 Jun 1998 11:12:16 -0400 (EDT) |
There is about a 3 second delay to the atz and at#cls=8 commands the first
time they are given. Is ecsw giving these commands too quickly for this
modem then? Can something be done or should I try another modem again?
I originally purchased a zoom modem from computer city which didn't work.
I exchanged it for another modem with the specs in ecs.doc but it didn't
work and the modem gave error responses to many of the phn-c.set commands.
I current took the rockwell modem out of a newer computer and am using
that in my ecs computer. Should I exchange my modem for a phoneblaster?
They don't have any other zoom modems.
By the way; when ecst uses synthetic voice my screen gets covered by
messages each time it speeks. The messages end with ...removed from
memory. Can I do something about this? Do you need more info? The
screen refreshes fine. It also seems to affect phone-rings item when
caller id is announcing. It may be because my old ecs.cfg was not updated
completely/correctly? There are no error messages at startup.
Thanks. Dan Dubay
