Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] New Mouse handling David Mccoll Mon, 1 Jun 1998 21:51:47 -0700 |
I too found the mouse button assignments to be a little different. I have
not given it too too much thought as I am primarily a DOS-ECST user with an
eye out for ECSW when phone support comes on strong. Anyway here is my 3
cents worth.
It would be nice if the buttons were fully programmable as if they
themselves were items or part of the ECS.DT file where we could define
whatever we want as right/left/double-click actions.
My own preference is to have a single left click on the item icon bring up
drop down scroll type box where you could easily select the state from with
another left click.
E.g.: a single click on a light icon would bring up a dialog box with the
most important states ON and OFF at the top of the box, followed by the DIM
states below so you can scroll down to the level you want or simply click ON
or OFF without any scrolling. Thinkin ease of use here.
