One is suppose to be able to send text from ECS to the HV TV screens but I am
not there yet. I do like being able to use the video menu from HV and see what
the X10 devices are set to etc., and then send a code to turn on or off
something via looking at the TV and using IR to do so. I installed a table top
Xantech down to my HV Closet which works great. I have not yet installed the
new software and chip in my HV box and I think there are more video options
than before. I am not as "techie" as I would like to be. I move a bit slower
in getting things accomplished. Once I understand I got it. It's like
cooking, if I have a simple recipe which is 1) 2) 3) then I cook great, but
don't ask me what spice to put in what from scratch! I have difficulty som
etime reading documentation if it is not real straight forward and simple as 1,
2, 3....

Subject: Re: [ECS] Temperature Not So Sensing
Hi Gary:
I didn't know that you had moved over to a HomeVision. I have been thinking
of doing the same thing, but had some concerns after Mark's IR problems. Are
you using the HomeVision for IR and could you tell me if it is possible to
manipulate the TV output via ECS to put text on the TV?
Thanks:
Don
