if you know the conflicting memory areas try reserving them, and with a
little luck and prayer the plug and play will shift to a new area.

I removed COM5, then did the following (with no change):
1) Tried auto config (letting Win decide).
2) Forced the FLEXPORT to IRQ5.
3) Forced it's memory and I/O ports to unused areas.

I find it strange that Win wants to assign IRQ and
mem areas such that they cause "conflicts".
But still, removing ALL such conflicts had no effect.
