Subject: From: Date: | FW: [ECS] Sound in ECS-Linux Joseph LaFerla Tue, 9 Jan 2001 18:40:58 -0700 |
I posted this message some days ago and noone has responded. Could I please
ask if this is because no-one is running ecs-linux or no-one is having any
problems. Mark seems to be stumped with this one too. I really would
appreciate hearing from anyone who is running ecs-linux whether or not they
are having problems.
Thanks a lot. Really appreciate this.

Subject: [ECS] Sound in ECS-Linux
Hi
I run ecs-linux and am having trouble getting tts to work properly. ECS
will convert the text to a wave file but, when played, the wave file sounds
garbled and with very low volume. I would appreciate knowing if anyone has
got this to work and, if so, how did you do it. My setup is plain jane
running redhat 7 with a Soundblaster AWE64 card. I also experienced the
same problem running redhat 6.0.
Thanks in advance.
Joe
