Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] 2-Way Switches joerut.epix.net Thu, 11 Jan 2001 22:27:03 -0500 |
Hello
When I say "2-Way" I mean that they receive X-10 commands to
turn on, off, dim etc. BUT they also transmit X-10 commands when
controlled LOCALLY which I think is very important so ECS or any
software can keep track of the actual state of the light even if
someone controls it locally. So far as I know Switchlinc is the only
in wall switch that will do that. From what I have read it does not do
it well. The X-10 professional line has a lamp and appliance module
that you can poll and find out the ACTUAL status of it. I spoke to
PCS and the said they had plans for a 2-Way X-10 switch for 2001
but no dates as of yet. Hope this helps.
