Subject: From: Date: | JAVA applet reload problems with NS Mark Gilmore Thu, 18 Jan 2001 17:16:59 -0500 |
Hi all,
For any JAVA programmers out there:
Is there a way to gracefully detect and cleanup when
a user clicks reload BEFORE all applets in a page have
initialized ? This seems to drive Netscape bonkers
(it uses most sys resources and hangs). I think the
applets are reloading before the previous instances
can exit. Perhaps if I could force the browser to wait ?
Also, I seem to be losing around 1% of sys resources
on every reload, but such losses do NOT occur when
select a diff page and then change back (only reloads).
NONE of these problems occur with IE4, no matter how
much abuse I dish out :-).
Thanks,
