Well, for whatever reason, after re-booting ECST computer and loading up
ECST, caller-id works just fine! Guess all the testing I was doing
monkeyed up the serial port on ECST machine. Oh well, it's working ok now
(Caller-ID) but my original reason for wanting to move touchscreen serial
input to COM1 has "vanished". Wish I could "fool" MSDOS 6.22 into
accepting serial input for the keyboard and then switching back again,
nondestructively (to ECST) but apparently that isn't in the cards. I'll
go "crack" my old MS-DOS books to see if there's something I'm missing.
Thanks Dan for the input -
