Subject: From: Date: | ECSW Illegal errors Mark Sekelsky Wed, 17 Jun 1998 19:37:37 -0500 |

Mark,
Attached is a file from the crash dump of a recent illegal error. I am
using ECSW (file date of early June) Here's what happened:
I had a number item defined and set in an event to add one each time a
particular thing was true. I tried to manually change the number (value)
from that group editor window. The first time I tried I got an access
violation error. Later (forgetting about that error) I tried again and this
time I got the illegal error. I could NOT get ECSW to crash again by
replicating my steps.
Which brings me to another question. Occasionally I will crash ECSW but
cannot replicate whatever made it crash. In general, unless it happens more
than once or I see that somebody else has had the problem I chalk those up
to the inevitable quirks of Windows. Assuming that I have a crash that is
NOT replicatable do you still want to see the dumps from that crash?
