Subject: From: Date: | Another Resource Problem Troy Carpenter Mon, 14 Sep 1998 20:31:12 -0400 |
Mark,
I think I have found another resource problem with ECS. This time it seems to
have something to do with screen refresh when another window partially blocks
ECS's window. I have also had the problem happen when raising the ECS window
from a minimized state.
What happens is ECS goes into a seemingly endless redraw loop and constantly
plays the windows "Default sound". Actually, it ends when the system
eventually runs out of resources, or I press the Escape key. When I press the
escape key, I get an ERROR window in the lower right hand corner that simply
says "CS", nothing else, but has an OK button. Hitting the OK button brings up
an identical window. Holding down the ENTER key to speed up the process, the
ERROR windows eventually "travel" left across the bottom of the screen to about
the center, then diagonally up and to the left until the center of the screen.
Then in the ECS window, I get a message as follows:
Error: YX_TC?S-SCP::VDY+1=7 VDX=6 GY-2=110 GX=50
(I could not read my handwriting where the ? is, could be an R, /, or
something similar).
I also get a final ERROR window with most of that string in it. Final in the
sense that when I press the OK button there, ECS totally goes away and I have
to rerun the program.
This seems to be the final annoyance I have found, but there is no guarantee I
will not find others.
Thanks
Troy Carpenter
