RE: [ECS] Another Resource Problem

Mark,

As far as the procedure to reproduce the problem, I will try to come up with
something. Right now I just cross my fingers every time I want to raise the
ECS window. I have one application that seems to cause the problem with ECS
more than others and I will focus on that, then try to get it to reproduce
using other programs and with raising the window. In any case, I never have
been able to run ECS more than a day without this happening although I can
never pinpoint the procedure to get this to happen.

I will find the W95ERRS.LOG file when I get back home tonight.

Thanks for your quick attention!

Troy

Troy, The MS/VC++ rtn which moves the caret (blinking line denoting
text insertion point) is returning an error for some unknown reason.
You are not the 1st to report this problem.

I have now killed the error msg dsp - the error msg
will still be logged to \W95ERRS.LOG, but will not be
treated as an error by ECS. The caret will not be
positioned properly, but at least ECS will continue
to run.

I will be uploading the "fix" to ftp.gallops/ecs/beta
within an hour. BUT BEFORE downloading, please attempt
to come up with a fixed/predictable procedure which
will re-create the problem. If I can re-create it,
I can fix it PROPERLY. Thanks.

Also, please email me C:\W95ERRS.LOG.
