Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] HomeVision IR Question Michael David Tue, 15 Sep 1998 22:02:54 -0400 |
Hi Don!
I had the same problem because I use relays to set the zone(s) that the IR
signal is sent to. So, Mark added an environment variable to not buffer the
IR signals. Try This:
SET ECS_IR_TX_Q=0
It will disable all IR buffering.
Cheers!

Subject: [ECS] HomeVision IR Question
Anyone suggest a way to deal with the apparent buffering of the IR transmit
command? I have an event where I need to mute the receiver to speak a
text-item and then unmute the receiver ie..
Do IR-Signal-J Set 4 { Sends a "Mute" Ir command }
Do Text-Item Set Speak { Speak some text here }
Do IR-Signal-J Set 4{ Toggles the "Mute" from on to off }
The problem that I run to is the Text Item is spoken then the receiver
mutes, and unmutes.
Is there a way around this?
Don
