Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] Speak-Messages Bill Walters Sat, 19 Sep 1998 11:37:39 -0500 |
Mark,
So why is a Voice-Recording made with Phone-Interface-A able to be played
back through a speaker and not have ECS stop all event processing?
From ECS documentation:
5.9.4.117 Phone-Recording-A Type Page 187
Holds a sound recording made with Phone-Interface-A. Note that
these recordings occupy significant disk space (7.9K/second).
THIS TYPE IS NOT SUPPORTED UNDER W95.
THIS TYPE IS NOT SUPPORTED BY ECS.EXE (W95).
The following occurs when this Item is set as specified:
State Action
--------------- ------------------------------------------------
Do Not Play Stops playback when PLAYING.
Play Plays thru the phone cable if a Phone-Session is
active. Otherwise, it is played thru a
speaker.
Play->Phone Plays thru Phone-Interface-A
Play->VA Plays thru Voice-Interface-A
Play->VB Plays thru Voice-Interface-B
Play/NW->VB Plays thru Voice-Interface-B without waiting
(Event processing continues). This Item then
becomes PLAYING.
Record Records new file.
Bottom line:
If ECSD/ECST can play a Phone-Recording-A item through Voice-Interface-B
without waiting, why then cannot you play a Phone Message which is recorded
by Phone-Interface-A through Voice-Interface-B without waiting also???
