Subject: From: Date: | Modem Error Don Stephens Sun, 20 Sep 1998 08:33:14 -0700 |
Sun, 20 Sep 1998 08:33:14 -0700
I am getting the following errror when trying to access my 56K Zoom modem in ECS and
another program (DOS).
Open err on COM4 (W95 err #5: Access is denied)
I'm assuming that Windows thinks that a program is using the modem and thus locking
the modem out. The ironic part of this is the fact that I have an Event that calls up
CompuServe every morning at 3:45 and d/ls the weather. That works, every day, but when
I try to access the modem from the DOS shell or reset the modem from ECS I continue
to get the above error msg.
Any suggestions?
Thanks;
Don
