Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] Phone-interface-c "hangs" Mark Sekelsky Mon, 21 Sep 1998 20:54:14 -0500 |
That's interesting. I know on at least one of mine "hangs," and maybe both,
I picked up phone during the recording. However I don't recall if it was
the local phone.

I believe I have been having the same problem. I use the modem blaster.
It seems to occur when ECS answers the phone and then I pick up another
phone during the session (sometimes). My phones are plugged into the
phone side of the modem. I have not had time to check into it further.

Hi Mark,
I have had phone-interface-c "hang" on me twice in the last several
days.
The status line on the main ECS window will indicate that a message is
being
recorded. ECS will no longer respond and needs to be shut down via
cntrl-alt-del (Windows will identify ECS in the resulting dialog as
"not
responding"). I then need to exit Windows and restart the computer to
"unhang" the modem.
I had this same problem many many months ago and don't recall why I
haven't
had it in a long time (various versions of ECS in the interim). I
cannot
replicate the problem. I am running on an old modem right now to see
if it
has the same problem or not. I'll let you know what transpires. The
modem
that hangs is a Zoom Comstar 2800.
