Subject: From: Date: | HomeVision with ECSW Mark Sekelsky Fri, 19 Jun 1998 14:29:43 -0500 |
Mark,
I am having a strange initial startup of ECSW when using HomeVision as my
PLC device. As best I can tell ECSW seems to set everything to OFF and then
sets everything according to saved backup states. This is NOT the case when
I use a Micro-Redac as the main PLC device. Let me give you one example:
On the initial startup ECSW/HomeVision will always see the setting for my
"Somebody's home" button as being OFF, which would indicate that the house
should be in it's security mode. For my "Somebody's home" item in ECSW I
have the back-up state set to YES and the initial state set to ON. So I do
not see any reason whatsoever that either ECSW or HomeVision should "think"
that "Somebody's home" is OFF.
I have setup the HV as per the instructions in ecs.doc. I have also
verified any setting on the HV side are correct, however, the HV shouldn't
have any "knowledge" of when I am starting/shutting down ECSW anyway.
Any thoughts?
Mark S
