the number i am calling is an information line. after i call and enter the access codes

recording plays immediately and i want to capture it. this is not a person at the other
end. the answer to your question is yes there is a beep, but it is several seconds after
the last # tone is entered and i need it to begin immediately.  does the r command always
take several seconds to generate the beep and start recording?
