Subject: From: Date: | W95 GDI Resources ? Mark Gilmore Fri, 02 Oct 1998 09:27:42 -0700 |
HELP: Seems the "modern" world of W95 wants to limit the
number of dialog boxes (drop-downs) that I can run concurrently.
Seems that I am using "too many" GDI (Graphical Device
Interface) RESOURCES:
I need 3/item in the Group Screen (90 for 30 items),
and 4/line in the Event-Editor (400 for 100 lines).
I will probably use a different approach in the
Event-Editor (which will solve the immediate problem).
BUT I KNOW there must be a way around this limitation.
ANY IDEAS ???
I find it ironic that my dusty old C menu driver suffers
no such limitations.
NOTE: I have tried LOCAL_EDIT & CS_OWNDC (owner device context
bit) extensively (when creating all Windows AND all Controls)
with no effect.
