Subject: From: Date: | Bizarre X-10 behavior Mark Sekelsky Fri, 2 Oct 1998 20:34:03 -0500 |
I am having a rather bizarre problem with my likes. The master bedroom
lights are on E5 and the bathroom lights are on E6. I am trying to use the
wireless X 10 motion detectors for each light. I have the motion detectors
set up on House code G. They are the only things on G. My event is pretty
basic, calling for the lights to be turned on or off depending upon whether
not the motion detector sense and on or off signal. If ECS knows that
either my wife or I are in bed (based upon our good night buttons) it is to
ignore the signals from the motion detectors altogether. The motion
detector for the bedroom is set to two, the one in the bathroom is set to
four.
I am having numerous bizarre behaviors, but will list the most basic one.
If I walk into the bedroom the light turns on. Walk into the bathroom the
light turns on. About two seconds after the bathroom light turns on the
bedroom light will be shut off. Now with this point, that bedroom light
should be on not off. If I check with ECS it will list the state of that
bedroom light as still being on. I also have a SmartLinc pad and it also
sees the light as still being on.
I have tried setting the motion detectors on different house codes, and also
switching the motion detectors into different rooms. It doesn't matter.
Anybody have any earthly idea why I am getting this bizarre behavior?
