Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] Bizarre X-10 behavior Mark Sekelsky Fri, 2 Oct 1998 21:35:41 -0500 |
I just gave that a try. There was no change at all to the ECS screen,
however, there was extra TW-523 activity (based upon the blinking red
light). Of course that could have been for something else and the wife is
now in bed so no more testing for today. Another interesting twist. When
my wife hits her "goodnight" button the masterbed lights come on at 70% and
the bath light full. After 15 minutes they both dim down to zero. Tonight
the bedroom light came on at 70%, then the bathroom light came on, then the
bedroom light dimmed down to 0%. According to ECS that light is still at
70%!

Try having someone walk in front of the detectors and watch the x10
codes on an ecs group and see if there is something odd going on. Other
than that I don't know what could be happening. I use security system
motion detectors for lots of things and have never had that type of
problem. Maybe something odd with the x10 motion detectors or the
wireless x10 receivers/repeaters?
