I do have the light sensors disabled. I am also staggering the unit codes
since the detector set to G2 would also use G3. I am going to try
staggering the codes by more than 2. I don't know why that would make any
difference, but then I don't know why everything is acting so weird anyway.

The X-10 motion dectors are dusk till dawn , maybe they think it's
daylight. Try disabling the light sensor in the motion detector?
