I will also be using a similar IR distribution system soon. I am using
the Channel Plus system. Does anyone have any comments on the
reliability of IR transmission with these systems? I am using the
Dancraft system for ECS.

Thanks Dan Dubay

Hi:

Thanks for your repsonses to my IR distribution posting earlier. I
have
gotten some good ideas.
I think I might try the COAX injector/splitter method suggested by
Mike
Pfeifer
with a 4 emmiter breakout box with 4 dual mini IR emmiter pairs. Now, I
was
wondering what are people
using to get the IR signal sent from the PC? I know some are using
IR-Master
and JDS-IR-X2 (i think?)
but those seem expensive to just send IR commands. Is there a cheaper
and
reliable way?
All i want to do is from ECS send IR commands to turn on TV, stereo
etc. in
an event.

Any ideas?

Thanks again,
Timothy Mulle'
