Hi Dan! Each computer has it's own unique .cfg file. In addition, to make things more understandable, I use custom item types. Rather than setting a byte to be sent out to ECST when I want it to answer the phone, I set the custom item type to "Record Generic Message." Of course, the end result is the same; it's still just a byte passed to ECST. I haven't gotten to the local and remote sessions yet, but it should be as simple as passing the macro value from ECST to ECS. BTW, my approach has been to keep the ECST side of the phone answering equation very simple; most of the logic is still back at the ECS end. Thus, ECST simply does what it's told to do, and informs ECS what is has done. For local and remote sessions, I envision that ECST will do nothing more than tell ECS when a local or remote session has begun, pass the macro value, and await further instruction. ECS will also send back the text that ECST needs to speak. Essentially, In this particular application as a second machine, ECST will stay pretty dumb. Cheers! I am interested in this type of system also and very interested in how you implimented the remote or local phone sessions with two different systems and I would assume two completely different ecs.cfg's, yes? Did you have to create state holders for everything within the dos machine to be able to see and control the windows machine? Do you have to swap states between machines for the dos machine to allow remote sessions to read and control everything?
