Voice Recording

Hi,

I can't seem to give up on the seemingly simple task
of ECS doing Voice recording without being at the keyboard.
Couldn't a Keyboard-Key type item be used to initiate the recording,
and stopped using the same with a timer? I really would like to
do reminders with VR. A simple "Morning reminder" command to start
a Voice rec. and a 5 sec timer to end it, subsquently played back
before going to work or whatever.

As a footnote to Voice recording: Why is the input passed to the
output when making Voice recording? This can be a bit loud when
your audio output is pumped all through the house, usually resulting
in very loud feedback. Makes a nice loud pager, but shouldn't happen
during recordings.

Thanks,

Carl
