I see that Bill Walters has already answered much of this question, but
one thing to consider is that the bigmouth works well in conjunction
with a fax/modem and or CID box.  ECS just uses the bigmouth for the
things it does best and the other pieces of hardware for what they do
best.  So far, just the fax/modem seems to be the hinderance for good
quality phone messaging and it will not work for local sessions from the
phones in the house.  (Many people swear by local phone sessions.  I do
not use them, but that does not make them useless.)
