Hi Bill!
I just thought I'd add that IMO, the reason Bigmouth makes a great voicemail
card is precisely because it's not a modem. I am very excited about Mark's
new plan! :)
Cheers!

Kevin,
Bigmouth does not do any CID, nor does it handle data (fax or modem).
It is strictly DTMF decoding and telephone voice interface. Its voice
recording to ECSD/ECST is superb. You also have the option of creating
"local" telephone events, so that you can pick up any phone in the
house, press #, enter a macro, # again and ECSD/ECST will execute it.
(You do have to have your phone enter ECSD/ECST first, then to rest of
house, but that's minor wiring stuff).. You also can have "direct"
control of ecs via your "Group" items, if you care to wade through all
the voice prompts, etc. I use "local phone" quite a lot, but not so
much since my touchscreen is now up and running very well, including
telephone message stuff.
Hope this helps.
