Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] 4.0 ALPHA upload Michael David Thu, 22 Oct 1998 23:23:20 -0400 |
Hi Mark!
I had a few problems during the event part of the compile. Several times, I
got an "Unknown item" error, event though the item was defined. Upon
inspection, I found that the items that ECS4.0 was having troubles with had
spaces in the item name. Replacing those spaces with underscores fixed the
problem. Also, in one case, I had semi-colon in an item name. Replacing
that also eliminated that error. If you'd like to see the item names that I
had to fix, let me know.
Also, using the new interface, when an error occurs during the compile, all
we see is "initialization complete". Using the old interface, ECS appears
to hang. Clicking the close box, and answering yes to the "Are You Sure?"
message also doesn't close ECS. However, hitting <Cntrl>-C solves the
problem.
Did the state values for Phone-Interface-D change? "Idle" now appears to
have a state value of 2.
With the new interface, I'm getting some errors with my events (Err#0068).
Since I can't see my events in the event editor, it's hard to tell what's
causing the error. I THINK it may be state-holders that are causing the
error, but I'm not sure.
BTW, I'm still getting scrolling debug info over my screens (old interface).
Is there any to disable that? It's quite distracting.
Beyond all that, the new interface looks great - I can't wait to use it on a
regular basis! :)
Cheers!
Michael David

Dan, select an icon and you will get sizable window.
I will make them all sizable the next upload.
What is a "screen flash" ? Anyone else ?
