To make the most of my screen size.  The group, event, and message
windows have large ammounts of things that I would like to see as much
as possible.  I could see more of my programing at one time.  I could
see a larger list of messages.  I could have more items within my group
so as not to need to swap groups as much.  I could even see more info on
an item type if you are still showing item info under the item creation
boxes in the item window.  I could live without bigger message and group
screens, but I would consider the event programing screen to be a
necessity to be able to enlarge as big as my screen and see more of my
event!  Why have a big, hi-res monitor if not to see more at one time. 
I would consider larger windows one of the biggest advantages in going
with windows!  However, I don't really see why I would need to change
the size of the item window within the group window.  What does that
give me?  I really am currious as I can not figure a reason for it? 
Bigger icons or something?  

Possibly, if you don't want to make resizing horizontally (causing lots
of problems with the menus), you could just do vertical.  That would
give most of the advangages desired.

Probably just an artifact of single sized windows.  If I maximize the
group editor window to full screen, I can drag the item/icon boxes
arround.  If I drag them to the larger sized window area, they disappear
and I can not regrab them.  They end up half showing and half hidden
within the main group editor window.  Consider it hidden behind the gray
void where the maximized window is larger than your standard window.

I hope that I am not pushing ideas that only I see usefull.
