Mark,
The errors that I reported with phone-interface-c all still exist.
Additionally when I started this last version VR did not seem to load, nor
could I abort it. It finally timed out and THEN VR loaded. I have not
checked yet to see if this was a one time thing.
A couple of other question/comments:
Do you need to have an "apply" and a "save" button? I understand it since I
have been using ECS but I would think this would confuse new users and I am
not even sure it is a necessary step. Why not just "save?"
I realize you are still in a relatively early beta format. Is it your
intention that the "final" (I don't think it is *ever* final <g>) is more
"keyboard user" friendly? One thing I really like about the "old" ECS was
that I rarely had to pickup the mouse and when I did it was a step saver not
a step creator.
And lastly I did manage to hang the system. I have NOT yet tried to
replicate this but am giving you the heads up. I did a remote session with
no problem. About an hour later I tried another remote session. Right
after the password prompt I was greeted by dead silence on the phone. Upon
arriving home I found the system hung. The dialog that pops up when playing
a message (stop/pause,fastforward dialog) was on the screen and this is what
appeared to be hung. I shut down ECS via cntrl-alt-del. I restarted but
the system hung when trying to initialize TTS. I restarted Windows and the
system still hung at initialization. To get restarted required a cold boot
(or perhaps the second time was just the charm).

I am about to upload ecs.zip - I think i fixed all reported bugs
(including playback problems and that "ECS is behind" repeating error).
ECST/ECSD has NOT been updated.
Thanks to all for the info/advice.
