OK I fixed it.

I just put in a fake parameter in "setting.exe"  that was <3f8, and now it
works. It has no relationship to the actual settings. I'll come up with
another 7 fake settings and I'll be done.

Why are we doing the setting stuff if it isn't adding anything, or in this
case, causing problems?
