Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] Windows type event typing Dan Carrington Sun, 01 Nov 1998 22:10:51 -0800 |
I played with that feature and that is exactly my problem. I can type
in the first characters much faster and easier than scrolling through my
900ish items within a drop down list. Lots of waisted mousing through
the interface where a few quick keys would get me directly there. I
liked the mention of ECS autodisplaying the item it can recognize as per
the first keys typed in. It would work like I use it in the dos version
but without the first tab key or whatever key works similarly in the
windows version. I thought it was supposed to be the up key? I do of
course realize that the scroll down menues are usefull in their own
right. Not trying to bash them, just would like the typing entry also
like it was or similar and better.
Keep up the good work. I know this first beta type release will bring
up lots of things that sound like bashing. Sorry for that...
