Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] Missing text operators Dan Carrington Tue, 03 Nov 1998 08:04:37 -0800 |
Actually, playing around, I found that the old version does work
correctly and that the new windows version definitely did not work
correctly. In my dos ECS, if the conditional item in the events are
text type items, the ? at the operator location brings up all the text
type operators (set/char, T1<-Nam, T1<-Stt, T1<-T1, T1<-N/S, and similar
through T4) show as options. Within the new windows version, if I
create a text item, and do a line in the event editor of "if text_item"
and then look at the operator menu, I do not get any of the text related
operators. I only get the standard set of Is, Is not, Is now, Is now
not, etc. Are you creating different operator menus depending on the
item used in the event line like the old ECS?
You need to get those things down if you intend to market ECS to windows
only type people. The menu boxes will be their instructions as they
create events.
