Subject: From: Date: | HELP FILE FORMAT.. Kevin Keast Wed, 4 Nov 1998 22:34:28 -0500 |
Hello everyone,
I have a suggestion for the help file format for ECS 4.0
I think using html is nice as it is very handy when using programs like
MATLAB and SIMULINK (Mathworks) however I am noticing a trend of using Adobe
Acrobat files for help instead. HP's OPENVIEW network monitoring suite and
MIL3's OPNET network simulation software both use an Adobe Acrobat help file
system. I really like it. Plus it allows the user to make "document
quality" print outs. Also, creating pdf files is a snap with Adobe
Exchange. Much easier to update than html docs I think. The only drawback
may be color (not sure if Adobe supports this).
Just a suggestion.
Kevin
