RE: [ECS] OT:Lunchbox computer

Hi Daniel!

Nope. I really do mean a Lunchbox computer; a real computer with a handle
and a built in LCD screen. Generally, Lunchbox computers can fit baby AT,
half size AT, or ATX motherboards. Although portable, they are generally
not battery powered.

Why do I want one of these over a laptop?

In short: speed and power. I have never seen a laptop that can keep up with
what I want to do when away from work or home. I don't travel enough to
need something light and battery powered. What I need is something
reasonably portable, that is powerful enough to not stand in my way.

Lunchbox computers also benefit from being very user-configurable and
upgradable, just as a desktop computer. So, what might be a P133 computer
today, can be upgraded to a PII450 tomorrow. Try that with a laptop! :)

Cheers!

I assume you mean notebook? Try Winbook. Call 1-800-555-1212 for
number or I will dig it out. I think they have the best prices by far
and back their products too.

Hey folks!

Sorry for the OT diversion. I'm looking for an affordable new or
used
lunchbox computer, at least a P133. Everything I am finding new is a
bit
too expansive for my tastes.

Any ideas?

Cheers!
