I downloaded ECS 4.0 Beta last night, along with Microsoft SDK 4.0 and
ECS 3.4.024.

I installed ECS 3.4.024 first, then unzipped and copied all files in
ecs.zip (4.0 beta) into the ECS 3.4 directory (put the .BMP files in the
Icons subdirectory where it thought they went).

I then installed SDK 4.0, using all default directories.

When I execute ECS from the Omnipotence folder, I get a nice "ding" but
no speech.  It doesn't appear that TTS is executing.

I'm loading/using nothing except what a "new user" would have when they
download/use the system (other than my "key" for ECS 3.4 provided by
Mark).  

Anyone have any hints?
