Subject: From: Date: | RE: [ECS] Modem? gbailey Mon, 9 Nov 1998 22:08:55 -0700 |
I don't think that it is still available, but I use the PhoneBlaster. It
works fine with ECS without doing anything fancy. It does however have the
same poor quality speech output problem.
It is interesting to note that the program Microsoft Phone has excellent TTS
speech output quality, along with good speech recognition. Since the TTS we
are using is the same engine setup, I do believe that we haven't found the
right "key" to get the voice output working well. We have tried to help find
the answer, but haven't found the link Mark needs yet. But the voice quality
is definitely possible with the existing modem chipsets.
It's just S-MOS. (Simply a Matter Of Software) :-))

Subject: [ECS] Modem?
Hi,
Could anyone point me to an "interim" modem to use as Phone-C
that has CID and an intelligible greeting output? Internal or external.
Thanks,
carl
