[HOMEVIS] ECS Question

Greetings,

After lurking for several months, I have a question for the list. I
am having a new house built and just finished all the low voltage
wiring this weekend and am looking forward to getting in and starting
on my new control system. My current house has an HCS II system but
I have decided to go to Home Vision for the new house. It looks
great and the support seems superb. My question is what about ECS?
I see lots of people running a combination of HV and ECS and I would
be interested to see what people think are the main advantages of
the combination. If I'm going to go the combo route, I would like to
do it right away so I don't have to convert all my programs at a
later date.

I'm also considering ACE. This looks like a great program and I like
the flexibility as I will have several PCs in the house from which to
control the house. Are many people using all 3 and how do you like
this combination?

Thanks for the replies and I am looking forward to getting started
and sharing my experiences with others on the list.
