Dan, I am qualified to venture a guess regarding LAN com,
not others here are.
Regarding local phone control, I would seriously consider the
use other other input devices, like the X-10 RF remotes -
their cheap and affective.
W95 QUESTION FOR ALL: My new PC periodically (every few minutes)
gets REAL busy for no apparent reason - the disk light
goes on and NOTHING else happens for some 5 seconds. This occurs
even when running my editor, which runs at a HIGH priority when
the keyboard is active. I haven't yet starting eliminating programs,
but am curious to know if anyone else has seen this behavior.
