Yup, and it doesn't help.  I should have mentioned that in my post.  Every
time something is spoken, no matter how long, it increases the ring counter.
This has done it with multiple ECS versions and .CFG files, so I am pretty
sure it is a hardware issue.  I have just learned to live with it and avoid
lots of little 'speaks'.
