Subject: From: Date: | ECSW COM addressing Don Stephens Mon, 29 Jun 1998 17:40:41 -0700 |
I tried to post this appeal on the ECS group, but it never appeared, so I
thought I'd ask you guys. I got my HomeVision up and running on COM5. (What
a circus that was!) I used the same address that worked with HomeVision's
software in ECSW but when I try to initialize HomeVision, I get a error msg
saying that COM5 base is invalid. Base? What does that mean? I'm using a
8port board with the IRQ at 15. Is there some way to set the ECS.DT file
with the IRQ? Or, did I punch in the wrong address? I'm using 2F00 as the
address for ECSW which is defined as 2F0H in my ByteRunner manual. You guys
have any suggestions?
Thanks:
Don
P.S.
I'm going to repost this in the ECS group again so I apologize if you see
this twice.
