Hi Don!
Just a friendly reminder that your port assignment should be:
F2F0, not 2F00
Cheers!

Subject: [ECS] HomeVision and ECS
Finally got all my com ports up and running (Thanks Dan) and installed my
new HomeVision. Next I went into Win95 to create the 8 com ports using the
supplied addresses, and IRQ. My board shares IRQ's so I picked IRQ15. Using
the HomeVision software I installed it on com5 and verified that it worked.
I went into ECS setup and changed com5 to 2F00, which I hope is 2F0H. When I
started ECSW up I created an Item called HomeVision and tried to assign it
to com5; but up popped an error msg saying " com 5 base is Invalid..." Does
this mean that I typed in the incorrect address, or that ECSW doesn't have
the correct IRQ?
Thanks for any help offered.
PS So far the HomeVision is very impressive.......
Don
