 ECS for Stargate?

I have a JDS Stargate and was wondering how much control over it ECS would
give me.  I figure it's likely it can handle the standard stuff like
controlling X-10 modules, but what about:

o telephone support -- at least CID, which Stargate catches
o digital/analog input/output support
o voice support -- can I do it through Stargate, or just through the PC
o infrared support -- I have an JDS IR expander hooked into the Stargate.
Would I have to move it to the PC instead?
o anything else -- basically I'm wondering if my $1000 Stargate would just
be used as a $40 powerline transceiver, or if all the extra stuff it does
would be taken advantage of.
