Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] [Fwd: ] from Amsterdam William C Biggs MD Sat, 26 Dec 1998 10:14:50 -0600 |
The date in Europe is usually DD-MM-CCYY so today is 26-12-1998.
The time format may vary from country to country but is generally HH:MM:SS.
24 hour format is common, but they understand AM & PM.
I was under the impression that the X-10 coding format was independent of
the voltage and Hz . It uses the zero crossing point with either frequency
or voltage. I am using 220/240v X-10 for those devices (like pool pump)
here. It works fine, controlled from a 110v segment.
In any event his X-10 controller will need to be 220v 50Hz.
However I suspect that the controllable X-10 receiver/transmitters
(PLC-Interfaces) that are available in Europe are going to be different as
far as the computer interface protocol. You might inquire about what he is
using now for X-10 control to see if it is a supported device. There is a
good chance it will work fine for a Cm11a in 220v 50Hz.
I'd give him a demo version with X-10 enabled to let him try.
