Try the example on the ECS home page to turn a light on/off. In short here
are the steps.
1. Create Item "PLC-Interface-2h"
Set this to the com port you are using.
2. Creat Item "Test Light"
Item Type "Light"
Set appropriate codes
3. Add an Item to any group. New Item - "Test Light"
4. Now you should be able to operate the light.
Also Mark used to have a cut down ecs.cfg file that does not have all the
full version stuff. I don't know if this is still an option. Check the
html doc.
Good Luck
Kevin Keast :)
