Subject: From: Date: | Re: [ECS] Phone Etc. Mark Gilmore Mon, 13 Jul 1998 08:15:31 -0700 |
This explains it:
278) ECS now buffers outgoing IR-Signals for IR-Interface-2B and
IR-Interface-2C. This keeps ECS from becoming non-responsive
when a lot of signals are being transmitted (as might be the
case when setting up for a VCR recording). When querying Item
States before the start of each Event pass, ECS will transmit
up to 5 signals from the FIFO when the IR-Interface is "read".
This number may be adjusted by placing the following line in
\AUTOEXEC.BAT:
SET ECS_IR_TX_Q={d}
where {d} is the desired count. To disable buffering, specify 0.
The FIFO is cleard whenever the IR-Interface Item is reset (either
via <F5> or setting it to RESET).
