Subject: From: Date: | Security System Interface Clay Jackson Wed, 13 Jan 1999 23:06:53 -0800 |
Here's one -
I've got a Brinks Security system (I think the panel is DSC) that I really
don't mind keeping; and I would really rather rely on a third party for
something as critical as security (We've had VERY good luck with Brinks, in
terms of service and response, in a number of cases).
But, I would like to be able to detect when the alarm has "fired" (for
example, if someone breaks in, I'd like to turn on all lights, and flash the
exterior lights). I was thinking about a PowerFlash interface on the horn
circuit.
Anyone got any other ideas (the panel has a tamper switch; so I don't THINK
I can get into it w/o tripping the switch)?
Thanks in advance!
Clay Jackson
