Thanks for the info..  Yes, if you could e-mail me some "snippets" of
info on the Omni Link that might be helpful.

Where did you find out information on these panels???  Did you order the
manuals or ?

If checksums are involved, I'll need a pointer to a short tutorial; all
I know is that individual characters are added up and the total appended
to the message.  When receiving, you add up the incoming and result is
compared to the incoming checksum; so how do you know when to stop
adding incoming characters and calculate/compare??  Can the checksum
exceed 65535?  

Ah well, so many questions, but first things first.
