Subject: From: Date: | Adjusting PIR motion detector sensitivity Bass, Bill Thu, 14 Jan 1999 12:34:24 -0500 |
This isn't exactly an ECS question, so please pardon me for being
off topic, but I don't know a better place to ask this question.
I just installed an X10 hawkeye PIR motion sensor at my front door to
signal when someone approaches. The problem I have is that the
hawkeye is so sensitive that cars driving by in front of the house
trigger the motion sensor. Does anybody know how to adjust the
sensitivity or shield the detector in some way to fix this? I am not
opposed to opening the device and hacking the circuit as long as
I know what to do.
Thanks,
Bill Bass

P.S. Does anyone know of an email list like this for general home
automation discussion, rather than product specific?
