I have not tried this with my Hawkeyes, but with other PIR devices, you can
mask the outside of the white plastic lens with duct tape to directionally
blind the sensor. Masking tape may work as well.

I don't have experience with that particular model, but the PIR sensors
that I use came with small black paper decals to block unwanted areas.
The black paper decals were to stick to the inside of the sensor's
lens. They kept the sensor from receiving IR from certain areas. That
type of modification should be doable to any PIR sensor.
