Subject: From: Date: | ADPCM and CID question Greg Johnson Mon, 18 Jan 1999 15:58:51 -0800 (PST) |
Hi,
I'm getting the following errors:
"PM:Unsupported rate for ADPCM compression (8000HZ)"
I checked the ADPCM settings in the control panel and they are set to "all
rates". I'm using a Ensoniq sound card which hasn't had any troubles in
the past. Is this a win98 or ECS setting?
I also have a cheap BTC 56IP modem which i was using for caller id in the
past. It has the Rockwell chipset and does respond ok to the "AT#CID=1"
command. When I get a new call it detects the number of rings fine, but
the caller id info never seems to make it. The modem will call out and
record so it seems like it is recognized by the system ok. Any ideas?
Phn_c.set file:
|ATZ // reset
?|AT$$H8&W // disable HOT-SCAN feature
|ATX4 // send ALL responses
|AT#CID=1 // enable caller-id
|AT#CLS=8 // enter voice mode (for DTMFs, etc)
|AT#VTD=FF,FF,FF // ena ALL DTMFs, ALL modes
|AT#VRA=60 // remote phone "answered" if no ring after 6 secs
|AT#VRN=60 // remote phone "answered" if no ring after 6 secs
|AT#VBT=1 // .1 sec beeps
?ATS30=60 // assure recovery if DTE dies (???)
|AT#VSP=50 // silence tmo = 5 secs ???
|AT#VLS=4 // line-input, spkr & line/handset ena
Thanks,
Gregory Johnson
